Description: This listing is for a vintage 1950s water conservation poster from Israel. It shows a water faucet turning itself off to save water. The Central Zionist Archives in Jerusalem has one of these posters in their collection. It is captioned in Hebrew "חבל על כל טיפה", which literally means "A shame or pity about every drop" but figuratively is "Don't waste even a drop of water". This poster measures 9" x 13". A the top right hand corner it says in Hebrew "רולי", which is "ROLI" and was the name of the Studio who designed this poster. ROLI Studio was founded in Tel Aviv in 1946 by Gerd Rothschild and Ze'ev Lippman. A the bottom left corner is says in Hebrew "המדפיס הממשלתי", which means "Government Printer". At the bottom right hand corner it says in Hebrew "יוצא לאור על ידי מרכז ההסברה ומינהל המים", which means "Published by the Information Center and the Water Administration".
