Designed by renowned architect Arthur Froehlich, a distinctive 36,000 square foot Streamline Modern style building had something for women of all ages: Clothing, shoes, jewelry, furs and a beauty salon. The grand central staircase was the scene of many elegant fashion shows. Jack Rose, who opened his first store in the Arcade Building on Main Street to 1925, was the first to offer Ventura County women fashionable styles "off the rack."
