Vintage 1940’s Stapler Rexel Comet 5 Art Deco Restored Beautiful

Whether you're a collector or simply looking for a unique piece of decor, this vintage stapler is a must-have.This is in remarkably good condition for an item from the 1940s that would’ve been regularly used within an office environment, I have done some minor refurbishment as you may be aware these originally came with a metal clip that sprung this back up into position after stapling. This was a steel piece of metal that run from the underneath to the underneath of the top of the stapler I have replaced that as it had snapped, these would do and you often find them without that in place some working I have used from another vintage Rexel Staple gun A conical spring which now works better than the original metal clip all the paintwork is in excellent condition barring side which you can see from the photos easily touched up. This was along the front top edge at the side and a couple of tiny dots along the side . Measurements are approximately 18 1/2 cm long and 4 1/2 cm wide and 9 cm high at highest point, I have not seen another one in such good condition now fully functional ready to roll your notice from the photos The inverted And splayed Way of stapling is achieved simply by sliding backwards or forwards on the base adjustable moving part rather than lighter versions which featured a push up and spin round version.
