Description: I offer International Shipping for this smaller, lighter TV. Highly desirable, 1949 Motorola VT1, 8" table top TV in brown Bakelite cabinet. This was the smallest of the 1940's Motrola 8" sets. Cosmetics of the Bakelite cabinet are very good overall, has just a few small scratches on the sides and top, many on the bottom. There are no cracks anywhere. I gave it a quick clean and hand car-polish, with wax added it should shine up nicely. The grill cloth and four knobs are original and in good condition. Notice it still has the original, often missing internal antenna. The original metal & Masonite back is missing but the hinge assembly is still there. The AC cord is also missing, be sure to see all 43 photo below. It's very hard to find these Bakelike cabinet, model 9T1 sets in this very good, nearly complete condition. The nice, complete chassis is all-original and has never been restored making it more desirable/valuable to collectors and restorers alike. Be sure to see all the photos below including close-up shots. I did not test any of tubes but did test the Raytheon 8BP4 picture tube. Sencore CR70 Test: H-K Shorts - Good, G1 Shorts Good, Cutoff - Good, Emission Good, Life Test - Good. There are no scratches on the face. I am selling this TV and all its parts as-is, display only, not working, for parts and repair, no returns for any reason. This 70+ year old TV must be looked over, safety checked and repaired/restored by a qualified technician before use. TV measures 9 3/4” tall, 17” wide, 18” deep and weighs 26 lb. Box will measure 19” tall, 26” wide, and 27” deep and weigh 32 lb. when packed. Good, strong packing supplies/boxes including 2” thick soft foam all around and 2" hard Styrofoam to line the box will cost $35 and FedEx Ground shipping (cheapest/ best handling ground service) will cost $90.00.
