Description: Vintage 1940s Nubby Barkcloth Bedspread Blue & Mauve Floral, Full Size ERA: True vintage item from the late 1930s to 1940sMEASUREMENTS: the top is 55 x 72 inches long. There is an extra 5 inches at the bottom end, and the ruffles on the sides are 17 inches longMATERIAL: cotton barkclothLABEL: none, home sewn Fabulous textured barkcloth bedspread! The top is blue with mauve and dark pink flowers with ivory, brown and green details. Mauve pink textured barkcloth on all 4 sides of the blue floral. The pink is sewn on to the blue, there is no pink fabric under the blue fabric. On the 2 long sides are the 17 inch long gathers that hang on the sides of the bed. The very top is 55 x 72 inches and will fit on a full bed, like the one shown in the photos. As you see in the photos, it just covers the top of the mattress at the top and the bottom of the bed. It's not long enough to pull up over pillows. The bedspread is unlined, just seams are seen on the backside. CONDITION: The piece is in excellent condition. The colors are nice and bright, it seems like it had very little use. It is heavy. Shipping - I combine shipping on multiple wins for auctions that end within 1 day of each other.
