Vintage 1930s Rayon Bias Cut Graduation Dress with Provenance

Description: This is an amazing listing as it contains a 1934 rayon graduation dress with a photograph of the graduate (Vesta Roberta Brown), diploma from Nampa High School, certificates for various things from the late 1920s and various recital pamphlets. All of these items I purchased from an estate out of Meridian, ID from Vesta's descendants and it all fit into the box that is also included in this listing! The dress is made of rayon and is bias cut. It is two pieces, a dress that has an open back trimmed with faux flowers made of rayon and a jacket that has kimono sleeves and buttons up the back with 21 self covered buttons. Pretty sure this dress was only worn a handful of times because it is in near perfect condition. Both armpits of the dress have small tears, and there are some small stains. The dress is super itty bitty, so doesn't look fantastic on my mannequin. A slip would have been worn under the dress to help hold out the skirt portion. There is a fabric belt that closes in front with a lovely art deco buckle that is embellished with rhinestones. It has an NRA (National Recovery Administration) tag and another tag that I have no idea about. All of these items are like a cool little time capsule of one of Vesta's most important events in her life! Would be magnificent in a clothing or education collection!!
