Vintage 1930s Blue Velvet Art Deco Dress Maxi Puff Sleeve Ruched Gown Evening XS

Description: A gorgeous late 1930s - early 1940s blue velvet evening gown! This beautiful formal dress has a flattering ruched sweetheart neckline, dramatic peaked, puffed, fully lined sleeves with side ruching, an empire waist, and a long, slim, bias cut maxi skirt. It has a back button and hook and eye closure that create a back keyhole, as well as an attached sash at the back waist that secures with a deco belt and snap. Perfect for the holidays! Label: none Material: probably rayon vs silk velvet Estimated Size: extra small Measurements: Shoulder: 12.75” Bust: 32” - 34” Unbelted Waist: 24” (gives to 25” due to the missing button which is covered by belt) Belted Waist: 23.5” - 24” (but the snap could be moved over as the belt itself is adjustable) Hip: 38” Bodice Length: 13” Length: 56” Condition: Great vintage condition overall! It has been hand washed and is ready to wear! It does have some sun fading on the side of one sleeve and on the lower front folds of the skirt (which shouldn’t be super overt in evening lighting) as well as a few scattered tiny holes (the largest being on the upper hip as well as a few pinholes near the hem) that are hardly noticeable. There are two mends on the back of the bodice over the back hook and eyes, but this could be covered with sparkly buttons or a pin if desired! The dress is also missing one button at the waist, but this is covered by the belt. The buttons are a slightly different shade due to a tad bit of oxidation, but this isn’t super noticeable unless you look closely. Presents beautifully!!
