Description: Victrola Victor Talking MachineVictrola No. 2Cica: 1918Quarter sawn tiger stripe grain oak. Honey-golden in color.Full-sized upright Victrola With small glass cover speed control. fully operational Measurements when fully closed:Height: 43"Width: 20"Depth: 22.25" Dating this Victrola:Serial Number: VV-XI A 448140 (See Photos)Many Victrolas that were produced from late 1917 through 1918 will have a small "A" suffix after the model number, which indicated that improvements were made to the motor (along with a price increase). This suffix was discontinued after 1918. Condition:Excellent condition and fully operational. There are a few places around the bottom where the veneer has cracked & come off, but they are very small and virtually unnoticeable (see photos). One of the front feet is scuffed. It rolls OK for this type of foot/roller. The finish is in overall exceptional shape for its age. The felt is in great shape. The needle arm and its mechanisms are all in great shape. The fine-tune speed control works as intended. History:Purchased from a well known Victrola collector in Harmony, Illinois in 1991. On display in my home since then with occasional use. Reason for selling: we've recently downsized and don't have a place for it in our new home.
