Description: Offering a vintage 1910 microphone from K.S.&S. Company, (Kellogg Switchboard and Supply Co, Chicago IL.) This is NOT a reproduction, it's the Model T-48 was issued to the U.S. Military for USAF Air Traffic Control, used throughout WW1 and WW2. (Some of these were made with push-to-talk options, however this one was not.) The Bakelite and metal construction are overbuilt (typical for that era), especially when going to the military. Condition-wise it is in excellent shape, no cracks or breaks, and has been creatively hand-painted with old fashioned décor on both the base and the mouthpiece. The center brass pole is painted black as military avoided using shiny metals in the field. A two foot cloth insulated cable is wired to the base with a 1/4" male phono plug. The original carbon element has been replaced with a high quality dynamic capsule that can function on any modern amplifier or mixer.
