Each earring is solid 18K Yellow Gold including posts but come without backings. Extruded 3D shape is slightly curved to wrap smoothly to ear lobe. Original earring set, although, one of the two has had a post repaired. The repair was made in 18K gold. Although the marks on the back are now illegible, our research shows that not only is the high level 18krt gold a signature factor of early Chanel jewelery pieces but, in 1954, Coco Chanel resumed business in her Parisian boutique at 31 Rue Cambon. Many pieces in this time period remained un-stamped, as Chanel jewelry was still being designed as part of an entire couture outfit. However, some jewelry started receiving very basic stamps.
