Description: Welcome to my listing for:1893 Chicago World's Fair Trade Card Bucher & Gibbs Imperial Queen Plow(*For the exception of the "copyrighted 1893" on the front, there is no World's Fair reference) From approximately 1880 through 1900, trade cards were all the rage and highly collected. This card was specially designed for, and intended to be given out to fairgoers on-site at the 1893 World's Fair held in Chicago - or locally at the 1,000's of merchant's retail locations nationwide in celebration of the fair. Although the fair ran for 6 months and many of these cards were distributed, the quantities of these World Fair cards made pale in comparison to more common varieties that often featured stock artwork and could be kept in stock for years at a time as they were seldom dated. Showing only minor signs of wear, age or handling. No surface or corner fold creases. Colors are vibrant. All text is 100% legible. Corners and edges are clean. No scrapbooking remnants.
