I don’t see any chips I know nothing about its wiring, which can be easily easily be replaced. There are some hooks that you could add additional hanging lucite just thought it was amazing. It would make a lovely statement in a home any questions please ask this is heavy as a non-returnable. The gold can be easily touched up/ or leave as is
