Description: Antique clothing button was probably produced in the 1800s. The button is made of ruby or cranberry red glass, which is embossed and painted in a floral pattern. There is a 2-way brass shank embedded in the back. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact button size. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... It appears that the shank has been compressed a bit, but not enough that it is no longer functional -- you can still easily get a thread or wire through. The button may also have slight surface wear, but there are no cracks, chips or other more serious flaws. It is in very nice shape and will display quite well.
