Description: DATING TO THE 1870’S FASHIONED OF A DARK LINEN WITH SMOKEY SHELL BUTTONS WITH A SHANK REAR CLOSING THE FRONT. ARM SEAMS ARE PIPED WITH TURNED OVER COLLAR WITH A FLAT WHITE PIPING THAT MATCHES THE TRIM ON THE TURNED UP CUFFS. MATCHING PIPING RUNS AROUND THE BOTTOM WITH POINTED SCALLOPED EMBROIDERY RUNNING FULLY AROUND AND A FULL BUSTLE BACK REAR. CONDITION: FIVE OF THE BUTTONS ARE MISSING FROM THE FRONT WITH DAMAGE SEEN TO THE SECOND BUTTON DOWN WITH A FRAYED BROKEN HOLE AND TWO ERASER SIZED HOLES ASIDE. TWO ERASER SIZED HOLES ARE ON THE TOP RIGHT SHOULDER WITH AN ERASER SIZED HOLE IN THE SCALLOPING ON THE BOTTOM AT THE SIDE WITH TWO LARGER HOLES AND SCALLOPING ON THE REAR BUSTLE EDGE. WHEN HELD TO THE LIGHT, THERE ARE TWO SMALL PINHEAD FRAYS ON THE REAR BACK, JUST ABOVE THE BUSTLE. SOLD AS IT WAS ACQUIRED.
