Due to difficulties getting keys, permissions, programming done I want to make it clear this is probably not a good choice for Police / Fire for any trunked (state wide) system use. My Pop was a Cop and I've had a ride in an ambulance so its not personal its technical and maybe politics. I simply can not provide keys nor trunking programming and my experience is that whatever agency you may work for will not wish to do this for a single radio which might not be the same brand thus uses different programmers, unavailable keys etc. So PLEASE unless you are certain you have permissions and the expert help from your department who know this radio to make it happen please do not buy this radio. *Note your systems are probably in the 700/800 frequency MHz range not the VHF band this radio uses. *Note I have a pile of 700/800Mhz radios which "could" be made to work with the right permissions and programming help from your agency but politics and such make it difficult to inspire interest in dealing with the issues that come with this.The only exceptions are conventional repeater based NBFM or Phase 1 P25 VHF systems.
