This bone was found in the Morrison Formation of Wyoming and is disassembled, which has revealed a quartz crystal mineral core within! Unfortunately, the top left corner of the distal end got slight damage in shipping and I pieced it back together the best way I could. The last two photos are what it looked like before the slight damage, with the new repair it looks close to exactly how it originally did and is barely noticeable on display. I will included all the small pieces that broke off in case you have more time and would like to prepare it further yourself or you can even send it out to get professionally prepared or even put back together! While it would look spectacular put back together, it is also very cool seeing the crystallized quartz mineral core and it still displays wonderfully flat.
