*VERY RARE* 1965 Panini Calciatori VALIDA Back Pele PSA 4 LOW POP

Description: DESCRIPTION: This is a 1965 Panini Calciatori VALIDA back Pele card graded PSA 4. The VALIDA back variations are MUCH more difficult to find. As of the day this was listed, the PSA Population Report shows 112 1965 Panini Pele's graded compared to only 38 VALIDA Back 1968 Panini Pele's. There are only 9 copies graded higher than this one! Over the years I've received many questions the Valida and Bisvalida back card variations and their premium value. Here is a little background provided from some Italian collectors. The Valida and Bisvalida were redemption cards that could be sent in to Panini to redeem for prizes like Soccer Shirts, Balls, shoes. There was some variation from year to year and between sets, but generally, the Panini cards were packed out with 4 cards per pack, 1 of which was a Valida or Bisvalida card. The Valida back card was worth 1 point and Bisvalida (Bis = 2 in latin) worth 2 points. Prizes usually required several hundred points so many of these cards were redeemed. This means that although 25% or so cards issued were Valida-Bisvalida, after redemptions, drastically fewer are available. For many of the 1960s issues in particular, Valida and Bisvalida back variations of stars are extremely hard to find. For many collectors these variations are the last cards they buy to fill out their collections since they are so difficult to find in high grade.
