Description: I purchased this beautiful basket at an estate sale. At the time that I purchased it , it was in wonderful excellent pristine condition, however, due to the basket being improperly handled for too long resulted in damage to the upper rim. The weaved trim has come loose and has separated from the basket. At the time I purchased this basket, I found that it an extremely old southwestern Pima Native American basket. There is a possibility that the damage may be repaired by a professional weaver or left as is. Placed at just the correct angle, the damage is not noticeable. With that being said, the basket would make a beautiful shelf piece. Other than the damage to the top trim, the basket weave is gorgeous. It is tight and precise forming the lovely pattern. The basket is appropriately 7” in diameter and 3” tall. Please review all pictures as they are considered part of the complete description. Please do not hesitate to ask questions.
