NOTE: Kit now comes with audio preamplifier tube, only 1 tube is shown in photos. This revision incorporates COURSE and FINE tuning, which greatly eases setup and operation. This kit has the following improvements over our simpler perfboard kit version: Complete with electret desktop microphone Input tube preamplifier Course and fine tuning controls. 3.5mm stereo input jack for high level inputs potentiometer input level control RF ground plane PC board design This board incorporates a transmitter tube, AND audio preamplifier tube. The kit will work with low level microphone signals, and high level inputs from devices like iPod and MP3 players, audio receivers, tape decks etc.. Our latest circuit revision has a course tuning trimmer capacitor, and fine tuning main capacitor, which greatly improves setup and operation. Kit comes complete, including tested tubes, no warranty on vacuum tubes. High quality fiberglass circuit board. Variable capacitor allows tuning across the upper AM band. Fixed coils, no coil winding necessary. Single sided printed circuit board design without plated through holes, so it is easy for the beginner to solder and unsolder. Includes nylon hardware for board support, which will not scratch surfaces. The board has rounded corners, and you can wrap colored tape around it (not supplied), to give it an enclosure look. With printed instructions. Kit requires one AA battery, and three 9 volt batteries, not included. Ships by First Class Mail in a padded envelope. This is not an entry level kit for beginners, it is best suited for those with knowledge of radio and transmitter circuits.
