Description: This is a set of 2- 1940's Vintage Unframed Original etchings by Kent (William Kay) Hagerman of the Fairchild C-119 Packet.The first print titled Test Flight is second in the series based on important stages in the manufacturing of the modern cargo airplane. The C119 was the successor of the C-82. The second print depicts The Final Assembly operation in the production of the C-82 Packet or "Flying Boxcar" in Hagerstown Maryland for the Army Air Forces.Kent Hagerman was an American etcher, painter and illustrator. He studied at the Cleveland school of Art and served in WWI in France where he completed his studies at the Sorbonne. Etchings are printed on handmade paper. They are titled on the left and signed on the right in pencil.Measures 10x 13 inches with image outside margins and image is 9.5 in wide x 6.75 in high.From a non smoking home.
