USA WW2 era theater fighting knife, 5.5-in blade, hand-made leather sheath

Description: An interesting and certainly one of a kind WW2 era “theater knife” fighter probably made from an old saw blade or a large butcher knife. The knife comes with original leather scabbard in decent condition; it's completely unmarked. This is a somewhat crude but practical fighter with good balance and fit. The handle is stacked colored fibers washers, aluminum/brass spacers & a simple iron double-guard. The handle is tight; all parts are solid with no play. This fighter is about 10-1/8″ / 25.8 cm overall; the blade is about 6" / 15.2 cm. The edge is very sharp still; the tip is intact; some light pitting on high-carbon steel blade is noted for accuracy. The scabbard is in very good overall condition; the keeper is intact; the leather is soft and supple still; minor stitching loss at the tip.
