Description: US: U.S. Aviation Group of Four Wings and F-80 Badge. 1) Silver miniature U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) Aerial Gunner badge; 30 x 9 mm, hallmarked “RED” with London assay marks for 1986. Probably intended to be a tie-tack, the badge is in extremely fine condition and has the original clutch-back fastener. 2) USAAF bronze and enamel Air Corps insignia, 11 x 7 mm, with original screw suspension device, and on the original inventory card; . the badge is in extremely fine condition. 3) USAAF gilt bronze Air Corps insignia, 14 x 8 mm, with original screw suspension device, and on the original inventory card; the badge is in extremely fine condition. 4) D and C bronze wings, 30 x 7 mm, maker-marked “MPB PIU” for the Metal Polishers & Buffers--Platers International Union. The origin of D and C is unknown; the wings are in extremely fine condition. 5) Lockheed F-80 bronze and enamel badge. The high-quality badge is believed to be from another country that used the F-80, possibly Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador or Peru. The reverse side of the original badge has been altered and mounted with a different pin.
