Description: View towards Collinsville & Montezuma Slough, CA 7" [18cm] x 9" [23cm] framed: 13'[33cm] x 15" [39cm] as shown I was honored by the US Dept of State a year back with inclusion into the registry of American artist's who have work in Consulate residences overseas. The attached photographs of the brouchure published features a painting I did in Detroit,( where I was born) some time back. When purchased you will receive a complete vitea along with a certifcate of authenticity as it is one of one. Oil on canvas board fully framed in a wood with gilt surface 'plein aire' style frame. It will be ready to hang. I have been traveling this highway for a many years as Hwy 12 runs east and west from Lodi past Rio Vista on to Fairfield. Off Hwy 12 into Birds Landing and East on Collinsville Road towards Montezuma Slough. Collinsville is no longer there as it was an Italian fishing village when my wife lived there as a child some sixty years past. In the distant background are inland mountains. Further West the view would be toward Maripo and on toward Yosemite. The surrounding landscape is divided between ranching, dairy,vineyards and orchards. This is the central valley of California. The site was off Stratton Road at: 38deg 04' 56"N x 121deg 50' 09' where this view can be found. It was another hot sunny afternoon as I started into the work this painting in mid June. Although it will be 'dry' and will fully dry within a 6 month~year period, it is will be sealed with a varnish and ready for framing. See my other paintings from past years here on ebay. Most are canvas board or stretched canvase framed and shown in the 'correct' plein aire style frame ready to hang.
