Description: Ulysses by James Joyce Leather Bound Limited Edition, 149 of 1750 Etchings by Mimmo Paladino Folio Society, 2004 FINE Condition This is a leather bound limited edition of “Ulysses” by James Joyce published by the Folio Society on June 16, 2004 to mark the centenary of the day on which the action of the book is set. This facsimile reproduction of the 1926 second edition, with badly broken characters corrected and blemished deleted, contains 18 full page reproductions of Mimmo Paladino’s etchings for Ulysses. The preface to the book was written by Stephen James Joyce and the introduction is by Jacques Aubert. Measuring 12" x 9.75" and containing 735 pages, the book is bound in full blue goatskin covered boards with a cover design by Jeff Clements. The upper edges are gold gilt and a cloth page divider is attached to the head of the spine. The book is housed in a buckram clamshell solander box that serves to protect and display the volume. The limitation on the book is 1750 copies with this being number 149. This is a beautiful production of arguably the greatest book of English literature written in the twentieth century.
