Description: Two Early Ladderback Chairs with finish wear as to be expected for the age as found from an estate. One chair has morticed pins from the back as shown, while the others' slats are morticed in. One of the hickory stretchers had been replaced. Skew marks on the legs indicate where the maker was adding the stretchers. The smaller of the two has a nice curved back leg as shown.
