May have scratch/scuff marks on the dust jacket or covers from shelving, handling, shipping, etc. Any defects will be noted. Could be a remainder and have a mark as such. Like New: Same as brand new above except purchased from a private seller or estate. Very Good: Book that has clearly been read, usually from creases in the spine (paperback) or crispness is gone (hardcover). May have minor edge wear to dust jacket or covers. Any markings or defects will be noted. Good: Similar to Very Good except shows more signs of wear. Dust jackets or covers usually have creases or are torn. Any markings or defects will be noted. Acceptable: Highly worn but still readable. May be slightly dirty or stained. Any markings or defects will be noted. Poor: I generally do not sell books in this condition. Partial spine separations, highly dirty or stained, some sort of major damage, etc. If I do sell any of these it is because they are hard to find books or I sell them as part of a set.
