Description: The purpose of this kit is to replace the roller bearing of the original design on the clutch ramp mechanism on the classic triples of Triumph and BSA with a thrust roller bearing. The kit includes the following (second photo): -One thrust roller bearing with its upper and lower disk and the cage with balls -One ring spacer -One new adjusting nut (sleeve nut) of 30mm diameter (not 1’’1/8 as the original). -Installation instructions A few words about it: The problem with the original design is that when the clutch is compressed the adjusting nut’s inner face comes in contact with the outer face of the ramp mechanism. Thus the pull rod that lifts the clutch’s compression plate stops rotating and since the clutch is spinning, the inner bearing (57-3717) on the clutch plate has to tolerate all the thrust force while its inner race is stationary and the outer is turning. This reduces dramatically the life of that bearing which its replacement requires the removal of the primary drive and clutch housing. With this modification you can keep the pull rod turning with the clutch disengaged. It can be installed to your bike in less than 20 minutes without having to remove the primary drive and clutch assempliesand it will immediately transform and greatly improve the "well known" heavy action of the triple's clutch. NOTICE:THE KIT DOESN'T COMES WITH A STANDARD BRAND REGARDING THE BEARING. IT DEPENDS OF WHAT I WILL HAVE FIND ON THE MARKET AT THE DAY OF PURCHASE.BUT I GUARANTY THAT IT WILL BE OF A GOOD QUALITY FROM A RESPECTABLE MANUFACTURER. I can post it worldwide for 8.30$ with tracking number of course. thanks for looking.
