For leather sewing: Recommended needle size: 18/110 Recommended thread size: v69 Disclaimer: sewing leather is a skill and requires experience. If you are a beginner you should not expect to sew leather right away. There is a learning curve to sew leather and heavy fabric. The recommend setting is based on my personal test on this machine. You could sew thicker than what I recommend. Adversely, you may not be able to sew as the thick leather as I recommend. It all depends on your skill and experience.
