The tilte of the giclee is "Sostenuto" and the giclee was done in 2004. The image in "Sostenuto" depicts a man and woman in a passionate and loving embrace. Born into a talented and artistic family, Rut was raised in Warsaw, Poland. Tomasz Rut is a contemporary figurative artist and he paints the human body in amazing depth and detail. His art resembles works of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and emulates the style, elogance, and passion of the master painters Michelangelo, Raphael, Rubens, and Caravaggio. This giclee is from the HC edition of 50 and is numbered 35/50 in the lower left. HC stands for Hors de Commerce meaning not for commerce. HC edition giclees were given out by the artist to galleries and dealers for promitional use. The giclee is signed by the artist at the bottom right. The giclee is set in a gold-colored wood frame. The image size that is not covered by the frame is approximately 26 inches in length by 31.5 inches in height. The framed area measures approximately 37.25 inches in length by 43 inches in height.
