Description: 220 page hardcover book TOM SWIFT And His AIRLINE EXPRESS published by Grosset & Dunlap, 1926, First Edition in Very Good condition. Grading antique books always presents problems and as a book seller for six decades. I have always tried to be accurate. There are very few minor signs of wear atop the spine and along the front spine binding and the back cover fabric has two wrinkles, a result of the original application. There is also the shadow of some past, now missing, item inside the back cover. All of the signatures are still sewn, tight , solid and square and both covers fully attached to binding and endpapers. If this was a contemporary item it would most likely be graded as Good. However because of the scarcity of early Tom Swift First Editions and the general well used condition issues routinely found on the few available items I feel that this book can safely be rated as Very Good.
