Description: This listing is for a flavorful Thyme. I am not sure what variety it is. It is what we have had for a number of years. Very delightful flavor!I think it may be French Thyme but I don't know for sure. I started these plants off of our own plant last year. They are one year old plants, fully rooted. Picture of potted plant is an example of the plants I have to sell. The main stems are woody while the newer stems are wirey and the leaves are very fine. The plant seems very hardy on our zone 5/6 homestead. I am sure it would enjoy more sun than ours gets but it stays very happy even in our partial shade!Photos 2 and 3 are of our mature plant in our yard. My Aunt once let me in on the "secret" to a good homemade cream of mushroom soup. She said that special ingredient is Thyme! I was amazed, but I soon discovered that Thyme indeed glorifies many dishes! It has become one of my favorite, most used herbs since then. Now indeed, it does depend WHICH Thyme you use! Not all Thyme is equal! So be sure you use a good one. This is a good one if I have anything to say! :-) I like to use it fresh or dried. These plants ship bareroot. That is the soil will be removed at time of shipping. And the roots will be wrapped to keep them moist. I will also trim the stems to several inches to minimize stress to the plant. They should be planted without delay as soon as you receive them! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or any issues with placing your order! I am here to assist you! :)I generally check emails at least 2 times a day (except not on Sunday), so I generally will get back with you promptly!
