The wonderful frame with floating lines is designed by J & J Kohn and manufactured by Thonet Austria. Kohn was connected with the Wiener Werkstatte and its designers Josef Hoffmann, Gustav Klimt and Moser. The chair is made from Beech bentwood in the most beautiful Art Nouveau style. The plywood back is embossed with the Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of Bavaria. A palatine lion holds the banner standard of Bavaria. The seat has an ornamental face design. The underside retains the fragmented original label. The rocking chair is in good condition. The front bar is missing.
