Anshutz studied under Thomas Eakins at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, later became an instructor at the Academy, and ended up becoming the head of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. The catalog has some smudges from shelf wear and a dog ear in the upper right corner of the cover.
