Constructed from nickel-plated copper, the direct-die water cooler offers outstanding thermal conductivity. This is further increased by an optimized structure of the microfins on the top. In addition, direct-die cooling eliminates a layer of heat conducting agent and the CPu's heat spreader compared to normal water cooling. This significantly improves the heat transfer from the CPu to the water cooling circuit. The cover of the AM5 Mycro Direct-Die is made of CNC-milled polyoxymethylene (POM) and has an inlet and outlet in the form of G1/4 inch threads. A KryoSheet graphene thermal pad can be used as the thermal interface between the CPu and the AM5 Mycro Direct-Die for the most maintenance-free system possible. Since KryoSheet pads are electrically conductive, a cover is included to protect the electronic components on the CPu package.
