The Uncle Al Show was an iconic children's television show that ran weekday mornings at 9 a.m. on WCPO Channel 9 (now the ABC affiliate - It was a CBS affiliate during most of the run of The Uncle Al Show). The show ran for 35 years in Cincinnati. It ran from 1950 to 1985. It is one of the most famous local kid's shows in television history. Uncle Al was played by Al Lewis. He played an accordion and many of the children's songs were polkas. His wife, Wanda Lewis co-hosted the show as Captain Windy. The show always closed with a prayer. Some of the notable songs from the show featured on the album are: America, I Love You; Happy Day; Pinnochio and Biggy; Alphabet Polka (written by Frank Yankovic); and Put Your Toys Away. The record cover is in Fine to Very Fine condition. There is no marking and no split seams. The vinyl record is in at least Very Fine condition. It is probably Near Mint. There are no noticeable scratches. It is very clean vinyl. The buyer pays $4.95 media mail shipping. This will be mailed in an appropriate cardboard record album mailer.
