Description: Up for grab is the "Rank And File" CD by The Rank And File. Released in 2005 by Collector's Choice Music, Made In USA. The final Rank and File album came out in 1987 and attempted to update their sound from Cowpunk to Hairmetal and in the process alienated their fans. The songs themselves were not the problem but rather the songs were actually quite good if it wasn't for the lunkhead whammybar guitar solos that sunk the album. If given the Americana treatment of the Slash albums (The Slash Years is a Must have but since it's out of print, get the Sundown and Long Gone Dead CDs...in that order) the self titled album would be fondly remembered. Or maybe a remix and remastered version of this, take the whammy bar leads and songs such as failed hit single Black Book or Golden Age and Pistol Dawn and it would sound a lot better. My faves are Sweet Life, Good Times and Love House, to which the bombast guitar is kept at a tolerable rate. Few light marks on the disc that do not affect playback! Covers (front & back) are in Excellent Condition. This will certainly be a Great Addition to your Collections! I only sell Original / Legit CD! No Copy or CDR!!!
