With a few hundred lovely colored plates/engravings [the plates are often sold individually]. Five volumes, each roughly 200 pages. Embossed brown leather, all edges gilt. All five volumes have had cloth re-backs, with a simple (now faded) gold titling on the spine. The rebound covers are very sturdy, if quite edgeworn and scuffed at the extremities.
