Original dark red stapled wrappers lettered in black. A trance address on the subject of Hell, delivered through the mediumship of J.J. Morse in Rippon Hall, England in July 1913. "Reported" (i.e. presumably transcribed) by Florance J. Olsen. A firm copy of a very scarce work, with rubbed and darkened wrappers; ink stamp on first page, with the upper corner bumped and creased, and damp affecting said corner - which has caused red to bleed through to pages (no loss of text, as it is the upper corner). James Johnson Morse (1848–1919) was a well-known medium who was active within the Spiritualist movement for more than 50 years. Aside from writing a number of books of his own, he contributed to others, and was a regular contributor to Spiritualist journals such as "The Medium", "The Spiritualist", "Light", "The Herald of Progress" and "The Two Worlds" — and for a time edited the latter.
