The TV show also starred actors Robert Culp and Connie Sellecca. The series ran from 1981-1983 and was created by Stephen J. Cannell. The storyline of the show focused around character Ralph Hinkley who was a teacher on a field trip with his students when the bus he was driving mysteriously drives itself out of a desert. A startled Ralph is soon visited by aliens who gives him superpowers to fight the battle against injustice and crime. They gave him a special suit including a cape but Ralph managed to lose the instructional manual. The show is an adventure comedy sometimes showing the alien?s habit of never being around when Ralph needs them most. This five piece collection includes a 2 piece costume featuring a heavy red spandex top with zip closure and sleeves with the ?hero? logo emblazoned on the front of the top. This costume was worn by William Katt in the series. It also includes the black cape trimmed in red also worn by Katt. In addition the collection includes a collectible issue of the TV Guide featuring the show and William Katt on the cover. A publicity photo of Sellecca, Katt and Culp, and a complete DVD set of the ?Greatest American Hero? series.
