Description: THE GATHERING! Horror Magic Deluxe Line #ChuckCaputoMagic® Supplied is a handsome metal box that contains everything needed; you supply your own handkerchief. Upon opening the mysterious black box, you remove a miniature pack of playing cards or already have them on the table next to the box. The Magician proceeds to remove an envelope that is shown empty, a small antique key, finger ring, and miniature skull – the lid of the box is closed. Explain that your grandfather was a magician and performed this miracle when you were a child. Looking back, the items were smaller than normal, so you are demonstrating this in miniature. Your grandfather’s hanky (not supplied, any opaque one may be used) is spread out on the table or performance area. The mini-pack of cards is placed face down in the left palm – the deck is ruffled through with fingers of the right hand. Several of the top cards are removed from the pack, shown to the spectator(s) to be different, then placed in a row on scarf facedown. The spectator is instructed to freely touch the back of one. You gather up the remaining cards and place them on the pack. Once complete, turn your back as the volunteer shows the selected card around. Upon turning around, you insert the card into the pack with all facing down. After placing the mini skull on top of the pack, which rests in open left palm, you state “Grandpa said he would always be with me. Grandpa, please find the card.” Amazingly the deck visibly cuts itself, leaving one card protruding - the selected card! The deck of cards is gathered up and placed in a small box with a skull – this would normally be a great conclusion to a routine...but there is more!! Now you show the antique key and grandpa's finger ring to be separate and impossible to get the ring on key - both objects are passed around to prove this. When items are placed on performance area (hanky) you now openly place both items in the small envelope previously shown empty - the flap of the envelope is held down with a small strip of tape for “safekeeping.” The envelope and its contents are placed in the dead center of the hanky which is spread out on the table. You slowly grasp each corner of the hanky, folding each end over the envelope. (You can grasp all corners and raise them to show the envelope is still in the hanky.) When laid back down on the table you go nowhere near anything! A spectator is asked to unravel hanky. Undo tape flap on envelope and dump out contents - amazingly the previously examined finger ring is now on key and cannot be removed! All is examinable!!!
