Description: One of my all-time favorite books and hailed as the most successful exhibition of photography ever assembled, The Family of Man opened at The Museum of Modern Art, New York in January 1955. Published in that same year, this classic and inspiring book is the permanent embodiment of Edward Steichen's monumental exhibition. Prologue by Carl Sandburg The book is slightly yellowed but in good shape, especially for its age. No handwriting or marks on the pages except for an inscription on the blank page at the beginning of the book. The dust jacket has some tears, stains and discoloring due to age. The front cover has split in two. Please see photos for better detail of the condition. The book you see is the book you'll be sent. Prologue by Carl Sandburg
