DescriptionAbe was born in 1916 and graduated from the Japanese Naval Academy in 1937. He was a squadron leader on the aircraft Carrier Akagi for the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7th, 1941 where he led the 2nd wave of dive bombers in their attack. He bombed Darwin, Australia in February 1942. He also attacked several British warships. Flying rom Bougainville he made several attacks on Guadalcanal.
