Description: SIGNED by Marlette on the title page. Not inscribed to anyone, so it will make a great gift. He was the creator of the famous KUDZU cartoon series as well as an editorial cartoonist with a wide distribution to the nation's newspapers of that day. He is the recipient of the Pulitzer Prize. If you would like to know more, Wikipedia has an excellent article about him. Also offered with the book is Marlette's HANDWRITTEN & SIGNED response to a letter I wrote requesting his assistance in acquiring a copy of one of his editorial cartoons that he drew. I wanted to run that cartoon in the school's newspaper. I worked at Walters State Community College from 1981-85. A copy of that particular cartoon is also provided. The softcover book is a stated First Perennial Edition and has the "1" in the number line. It is in Very Good condition with a minimal amount of wear, mostly at some of the edges of the book. Has a strong binding and clean text pages. No torn pages, smells, stains, writing, or underlining. A very small amount (1/4") of the right side of the back cover is faded from being exposed to too much direct or strong light. The book pages are beginning to shown signs of yellowing due to aging.
