Description: VERY hard to find 1968 Collier Books softcover First Edition of The Bhagavad Gita - As It Is by Abhay Charanaravinda Bhaktivedanta Swami. This is NOT a reprint. Covers (aka "wraps") are stained, with a brown stain on left side of title, and brownish stain on the upper spine. Scuffing and scratching on the covers, scraping to edges. Shelf-wear to spine ends and corner tips. Darking to the edges, with lighter areas of soiling. Corners of front and rear wraps curl upward, which is pretty common to any type of softcover book after being read many times. A former owner removed their name from the top of the half title page (see picture). The binding is sound and this is a really nice reading copy. Light stains on the text block and thumbstains to lower corner block. Pages are lightly toned. I have loaded many photos, and have taken two different photos of the front of the book, as the lights from my light box have the tendency to show glare. 381 pages. PLEASE, if you would like to see more photos, shoot me a message as this book is highly collectible and is not a cheap book. I want to be sure that you are aware of what you will be paying for as I do not do refunds. What you see is what you get. Per Wikipedia, A.C. Bhaktivedanta was a spiritual, philosophical, and religious teacher from India who spread the Hare Krishna Mantra and the teachings of "Krishna Consciousness" to the world. Born as Abhay Charan De and later legally named Abhay Charanaravinda Bhaktivedanta Swami, he is often referred to as "Bhaktivedanta Swami", "Srila Prabhupada", or simply "Prabhupada". I thank you so much for looking!
