Description: 2002 Edition which is a retrospective on the artistic talent of Theodor Seuss Geisel published by Random House, which accompanied Dr. Seuss' "Singing Cats" graphic artwork, sold together when purchasing the serigraph. There is a certificate mounted in the book with the limited edition on it, this one is 169 of 850, adhered to the book making the book the actual proof of certification for the print as well as the book itself.I do not know what happened to the print, I have only acquired the book and I feel the book is just as valuable as the serigraph itself as it has so many interesting works that he has done and didn't know even existed, just so amazing. The book chronicles the life and career of Dr. Suess. It highlights the common artistic link throughout Suess' life, from his early Horton drawings at Dartmouth College, through his editorial, advertising, military, and book illustrations, and finally, his secret collection.Included in this sale is the original receipt for the purchase of the serigraph and book, purchased from Chuck Jones Gallery, Newport Beach, CA in 2004.Both sleeve and book are in very nice condition with the metallic lettering on the binding having some of the metallic letters color worn off, perhaps trying to pull the book from the sleeve. See pics for exact condition. Sleeve has some signs of wear, see pics. Please review all information as well as view all pictures to give you the best representation of this limited edition book up for sale.Selling this accompaniment book solely with hard cloth sleeve in "as is", "as pictured" condition. Thanks for your interest in this rare book with limited edition certificate which applies to the book as well because they were a package when they were sold, no artwork with this sale. The book I feel is the real score when realizing the significance of having a visual chronology of a man who has made so many homes better in childhood for having read and enjoyed the whimsical illustrations that allowed our young brains to explore possibilities of the creative process of imagination.......Priceless.Please bid with confidence as I do Not accept returns. Be well and safe out there in this very different world from the days of the Cat in the Hat.
