Description: 7” turritella slab/plate from the Tarrant formation, between the woodbine/eagle ford border. These little gastropods are ornate and less common than the typical oysters found in the formation, making it a nice addition to your fossil collection. Most slabs from the lower eagle ford have potential for other hidden treasures such as fish and shark teeth and bones, so you never know what else might be hiding within! But what’s visible are turritella of various sizes on both sides of the slab and some oysters PRIMARY PHOTO SHOWS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE UNDER 365nm UV, but NO UV LIGHT IS INCLUDED WITH THE PURCHASE. I personally discovered this fossil plate, just as I’ve found all fossils sold by DFW fossils, unless stated specifically. Length: 7” (approx 1” thick) Weight 2 lbs 12 ounces DFWFossils.com
