Description: You are looking at a vintage Tannoy microphone. It has some kind of panel mount fitting - 2 bolts with nuts that mount the mic on a panel - such as a control panel or even a vintage mixing console. I cannot find much about this particular Tannoy mic, but there is info saying that they were active in the 1940's and later - even making mics for radios in tanks. Due to the chrome plating on this one, it was probably made a little later and for broadcast purposes. The mic has a long (approx 8') mogami cable attached to it that ends in an XLR connector. The mic still works - it is very mid ranged - tons of 2000 hz, but with some eq it starts to sound a little fuller.
