Description: These stands are specific to the 80’s era Tamiya SRBs, but may fit the 2000’s reissues (double check dimensions). They support the frame at the gear box and front suspension uprights and lift the car about 1 inch off the ground. Sold as a set (front & rear). The quantity listed are ready to ship. I can always make more. Just message me and I'll increase the quantity available. I created these stands to help solve the issue of tire damage when models are stored or on display for long periods of time. These simple stands are laser cut from 1/4” plywood, easy to assemble, and can by left as is or finished in a variety of ways. Assembly A quality gel super glue or wood glue is recommendedApply glue to tabs and any inside edges that make contactRubber bands can be used to hold pieces together while the glue driesPay attention to the arrows on the center section tabs. The sides are slightly angled and need to be in the correct orientation Paint/Finishing It’s best to assemble the stands before finishing to avoid any fitment issuesAlmost any type of finish can be used but... a stain blocking primer is required to cover the “burned” edges or they may bleed through paint If the pieces won’t fit together (This shouldn’t happen, but I suppose it’s possible) A little sanding will always do the trickTry inserting the piece through the other side (noting directional orientation if required). The hole will be slightly larger on the side where the laser penetrated first You can try tapping the pieces together using a hammer and a flat surface but do not apply heavy pressure outside of the tabbed areas. NOTE: Any aftermarket or tire modification to the model may affect fitment. (Obviously the car is not included.)
