Description: Rare bird! Original Tama Starclassic from 94’-95’ in charcoal quilted. This was a custom order from Tama in Japan. These were not along the lines of the regular Starclassic line which had handcrafted on the logo and not custom as this one has. All 24K gold hardware with fully functional Mastercraft throw and butt plate. Just that alone makes this rare. Tunes up easy and sounds absolutely amazing, it has a very controlled semi dry sound ,very articulate and great body. You can tell easily why they kept making the Starclassic line. Today’s models don’t feature this 3+3+3 ply design. Diecast hoops, also in 24K gold from Tama, also features a maple grommet, which is original.
