Decanting wines (particularly old wines) a few moments before serving ensures clarity and true color while preventing any sediment from interfering with the wine-drinking experience. Decanting young wines gives them a chance to open un and develop. Each wine decanter is individually made of lead-free crystal glass: both the decanter and the stopper are mouth-blown (note: a matching glass topper is included with each decanter).
